About Us

Loozeele initiative

The daily life of a kayayoo (head porter) in Ghana is one of misery, suffering and above all uncertainty. Yet, young adults especially girls from the northern parts of Ghana, especially the Upper East Region are constantly attracted to this way of life believing that it is the only way to cater for themselves and their families.

To reduce rural urban migration among young women from the north of Ghana and create employment opportunities for them by using the skills and materials available in their communities. Our vision is to drive a new era of development and growth and build sustainable businesses for women in the North.

Our Mission

The mission of the Loozeele Initiative is to develop the capabilities of young people in the north of Ghana by helping them to create businesses that will provide a source of income using their skills to make and sell products and providing entrepreneurial support for Kayayei.

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.
